After receiving his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1982, Allen Lafferty earned his designation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1985. At that time he was employed as an accountant. Following his CPA title, he worked for a publicly traded firm in financial reporting for several years.

Later, from 1986 to 1993, Allen was employed by the Century 21 regional office as a financial consultant to the franchise owners. He also served for five years on a national task force that worked to help real estate brokers become more profitable. During that same time, he was on the board of directors of a title company in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and was hired as an outside consultant to that company to recruit new offices to join their Controlled Business Affiliation.

Using his business expertise and education, he founded Premier Settlements, Inc. in November 1993, where he remains active in the management and business of the company.

One of the original employees, Barb Brown-Young has been working in the title insurance industry with Premier for over eleven years. Having been part of nearly every aspect of the business, Barb could easily be considered an expert. Barb shares a home with her husband Tony and their daughter.

After receiving her Paralegal Associates Degree from Harrisburg Area Community College, Connie Bletcher began work in that industry but switched to title insurance after four years. Now with two and a half years experience in the title insurance business, she has been a settlement agent with Premier for over a year.

Before beginning her career at Premier Settlements, Georgia Woodfill received a Bachelor's Degree in English from Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia and a degree in Elementary Education from Millersville University. Although no longer working in either of those fields, Georgia has been gaining experience in title insurance for the past two years while working at Premier. Georgia and her husband Brian, a financial consultant with AXA Advisors, were blessed with their first child in August 2004.

Joyce Tobiassen has been working in the title insurance industry for fifteen years, the last nine years at Premier Settlements. Before beginning her work with title insurance, she received a business degree from the University of New England (formerly Westbrook College) in Portland, Maine and worked for several years in the banking industry as a customer service representative and in the Real Estate Owned department. Joyce lives in Lititz with her husband Randy.

Although her degree is in Bible and Women's Ministry, Laura Chandler has been proud to be part of the Premier Settlements team for two years, during which she has gained valuable knowledge of the title insurance industry. Her behind-the-scenes work has been essential. Questions about taxes? She’s the one to ask. Laura is a newlywed and lives with her husband in Neffsville.

While Laure Hanks worked toward getting a degree in Art and Writing from Houghton College in Houghton, New York, she spent her summers working for Premier Settlements. After graduation in the spring of 2005, Laure plans to continue to work with Premier through the upkeep and maintenance of the company web site. Tina Lafferty's ten years with Premier Settlements have given her experience in many aspects of the title insurance industry. From occasional stints filling in for other employees to her usual job as the bookkeeper and one-woman accounting department, Tina has found many uses for the Business and Marketing degree she received from Penn State University. She was previously employed in the investment and banking industry. Tina lives in Lititz with her husband Allen and their three children.

Although Vickie Benedict has only worked in the title insurance business for the past year, she is always will to help callers and customers find the answers to their questions and inqueries. Vickie and her husband Richard live in the Lancaster area.
