We’re specialized. Most issues that can delay a closing are out of anyone's control, but we, at Premier, specialize in helping to resolve those issues quickly and get to settlement.

    In early November 1993, founder Allen Lafferty assembled a group of investors to purchase a company called Willow Abstract, which was quickly renamed Premier Settlements. Operations moved from Willow Street, Pennsylvania to a more central location on Butler Avenue in Lancaster. By 1995, the company had outgrown its facilities on Butler Avenue and moved to the current location on Foxshire Drive, where the company operated from the second floor. The location boasted of large conference room that would allow Premier to host their clients' settlements.

    This new location proved to be more convenient for clients as well as provide plenty of room for the growth and expansion of the company in following years. With a large off-street parking area and easy access to US-30 and PA-283, the Foxshire Drive building has been a huge asset to the development of the company.

    Also in 1995, the founder purchased the remaining stock of the company to become the sole owner, allowing Premier to secure the resources necessary to keep it up to date with the most current computer technology and software tools. Over the course of the following years, the company has replaced and upgraded the entire computer network to a cutting edge system several times to meet the demands of the growing market. The latest development is the implementation of a high-speed Internet connection at each workstation, which enables Premier to receive extensive loan documents from banks and mortgage companies quickly and effectively. In many situations, this ability to receive last-minute changes or updates to document information allows our clients to settle their contracts smoothly and without complication.

    By November 2002, Premier had once again filled its building to capacity, making changes necessary again. After buying the rest of the current building and extensive reworking of the interior layout, the new facilities were completed and ready for use in March 2003. The base of operations remains on the second floor, while most of the first floor is dedicated for closings. Now with three large conference rooms, each of which can accommodate from eight to fourteen people, and one smaller room for refinance or private closings of four.

    The Premier Settlements office is in the middle of beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Located just outside the city and off Fruitville Pike, the building is situated between a highly commercial area and a quiet residential development, making it a perfect place for settling the contract on the purchase, sale, or refinance of your property.

    With four elegant, yet comfortable conference rooms for clients and their agents to meet in with one of our expert title insurance agents, Premier provides a professional environment and friendly atmosphere for each settlement.

    At Premier Settlements, we know that each closing will be unique to the property and those involved. To make certain that everything is done efficiently and quickly, we use state-of-the-art computer technology and specialized title insurance software that helps us effectively cover each aspect of the transaction, from the initial title search to the document recording and final title policy.
